How One Should and How Shouldn't Conduct Himself At a Show

Try to:

- take an advice and help in the same spirit as they've been given;
- count up to 10 before answering to a criticism concerning your dog;
- lose with dignity and win coolly.

Remember:

- that you get from a dog what you've put in him yourself;
- that almost every arbiter is able to estimate a good dog, and only a very experienced expert is able to estimate a bad one;
- that a dog-show is a sport. Never criticize other's dogs, especially publicly. If somebody asks your opinion, express it tactfully, and always remember how difficult it is to foster a good dog;
- don't rebuke anybody, when on a ring;
- don't trust critical remarks about a winner, if they come from discontent competitors;
- don't reject the forth place if there're only four competitors on the ring;
- don't look at your dog and its posterity through rose-colored glasses.

And the main - we wish you to take pleasure at shows!
